The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (Biofuel from algae) by the graduate student Haya Abd Shaker The study aims To find alternative and environmentally safe fuel resources to reduce the damages resulting from the use of fossil; fuels. and included selecting some local species diagnosing these species ,identify the basic components ,extracting these components and produced biofuel (Biodiesel) determine the quality of Biodiesel . and the study was recommended (using Macro and Microalgae for the production of Biofuel ,including the use of other types of Catalysts ,Making adjustments to the conditions used in the experiment to note the effect on the amount of biodiesel produced )
