
The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on the symbolism of the camel in the Battle of the Camel - an analytical study.
The aim of the lecture was to familiarize the participants with reading symbolism in the historical writer by deconstructing the text in order to extract the symbolic motivation that the writer employed in his text, and to reinforce the reading motivation in the reading mind.
The lecture presented by Dr. Hisham Jakhyour Miri Al-Rubaie included the definition of the introduction, the hypothesis of the research, the concept of symbol and symbolism, the symbolism of the camel in Islamic thought, and the applied study of the texts of the sacred and unholy camels.
In the end, the recommendation was that researchers in postgraduate studies should be directed to study symbolism in historical texts according to the modernist path to advance historical studies.
