The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basrah organized an electronic lecture on non-verbal communication (body language).
The lecture aimed to cast light on the role of body language in education which is an important supporter and companion for every educational, training or behavioral move. It is part of the qualifying course that the Center holds for new faculty members.
Familiarizing trainees with a master's and PhD degrees who wish to obtain a teaching license with the importance of non-verbal communication in delivering information, managing and controlling the classroom.
The lecture presented by Dr. Amjad Abdel-Razzaq Habib included a detailed explanation of communication, its images and obstacles, and focused on non-verbal communication (body language) and its impact on every aspect of the learner’s educational process. It also included the types of movements and gestures used by the teacher in his lesson.
It has been recommended that the faculty member should pay close attention to body language when dealing with learners, and the need to prepare a guide for the uses and applications of body language.
