Teaching staff from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah participated in the second international exhibition of inventions and the sixteenth of the Iraqi Innovation and Creativity Center at the University of Basrah, which was held in the Oil Cultural Center, and they received several medals and participation certificates for the patents they presented.
The second international exhibition in Basra aims to bring together inventors and their patents at the level of Iraq in a distinguished event to pave the way for them to invest in what serves humanity and scientific and medical progress at various levels.
The first patent for Dr. Wasfi Abboud Al-Masoudi, Dr. Ali Balboul Al-Diwan, Dr. Basil Abdel-Zahra Abbas, Dr. Nawras Nuri Jaber and Dr. Muhammad Hassan included the preparation of a new derivative of the drug Cephalexin as an antibiotic for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and some multi-antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
As for the second joint patent between Dr. Wasfi Abboud Al-Masoudi and Dr. Rana Adnan, entitled Preparation, Diagnosis and Biological Evaluation of Some New Benzimidazole Derivatives as Antibacterial and Antifungal Agents.
