
A master's thesis at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah studied the cultural patterns in the performance of the Iraqi theater actor.
The thesis presented by the researcher, Maher Jabbar Chaseb, included the topic of cultural patterns, which is an influential phenomenon in the language of theatrical performance, due to the effective propositions it deals with regarding the environment and content of society and its presentation through acting performance.
The thesis discussed several topics, including the intellectual and cognitive data of cultural patterns, acting performance as a cultural pattern, and cultural patterns in the actor's performance according to the experiences of theater directors.
It also dealt with the issue of how the representational performance transformed, the authority of the cultural system over the structures of the representative performance, and the nature of the cultural systems in some Western and Asian cultures.
