The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized a lecture on communication between faculty and students
The lecture, which is part of a developmental training course for faculty members, aims to focus on the importance of human interaction between the student and the teaching staff for the success of the information transfer process.
The lecture, presented byInstructor Doaa Mohammed Khalifa, included an explanation of the types, images, and obstacles to communication, methods of overcoming obstacles, and the competencies that teachers must have in order to succeed in the teaching profession.
The workshop called for attention to the preparation of the teaching staff at the psychological, personal, social and moral levels, since teaching is one of the professions that requires a set of moral and personal competencies, and that obtaining the highest scientific ranks and academic certificates is not sufficient in itself or qualified to practice the teaching process.
