On Tuesday, February 21, a special session was held in the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences to discuss scientific research (participant from a distance) in the Second International Scientific Conference under the slogan (Soft Power and its Impact on Contemporary Human Societies), which was held by the University of Basra with Ferdowsi University - Holy Mashhad In cooperation with the Al-Fares Center for Studies and Research, and under the supervision of the College of Education for Human Sciences.
And (Professor Dr. Hamid Siraj Jaber), Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, in a speech he delivered at the session, after welcoming the participants in the conference, indicated the importance of scientific cooperation between the University of Basra and various universities in brotherly and friendly countries, which came as a culmination of the memorandums of understanding that took place between these two universities, which is The second international scientific conference that is held between the University of Basra and Ferdowsi University in the Islamic Republic of Iran, after the first conference was held last year, in which more than a hundred researchers from various brotherly and friendly countries participated.
The Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences added that this session complements the attendance sessions that were held at Ferdowsi University in Mashhad on February 12-13, stressing the importance of discussing such topics of interest to the Islamic peoples and the cultural, economic and social invasion they are exposed to. And by soft-targeted methods, including the implementation of the policies of those countries to control and implement their projects over the peoples of the Islamic world.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Maged Abdel-Hamid, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, explained in a lecture he delivered at the session the methods used by the major countries to impose their control and implement their projects through the soft method, after the implementation of such projects was through the hard methods represented by the military occupation.
During the session, dozens of scientific research papers from various Iraqi universities were discussed, as well as certificates of participation were distributed to the researchers and those in charge of the conference.
