A master's thesis in the Department of Geography / College of Education for Human Sciences / University of Basra researched - the spatial variation of crop intensification in the Rifai district - for the student inside Atshan Radwi
The thesis dealt with: Studying the level of cropping intensification in the district of Al-Rifai by knowing the degree of exploitation of agricultural lands and the extent of waste therein, as well as the extent of the effect of the type of agricultural tenure and farming patterns on the degree of exploitation of agricultural lands.
The thesis included four chapters preceded by an introduction and followed by the results. The first chapter presented the temporary and permanent agricultural investment of land in the Rifai district. The fourth chapter He carried the title Problems of Crop Intensification in Al-Rifai District.
The thesis concluded: The level of crop intensification in the district is weak and fluctuating, as it is below the required level, as it did not exceed the correct one, as its average was (0.77). The diversified pattern outperformed the degree of crop intensification over the rest of the farm patterns, as it amounted to (0.86), followed by field-type farms (0.79), then vegetable-type farms (0.77).
