Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Karim Abdel-Abbas Al-Saad, published a research entitled (Solubility enhancement of Ticagrelor by different complexation methods) in the Dutch Journal of ReAttach therapy and developmental diversities with an impact factor of 0.57 and within the Scopus classification.
The research included the formulation of Ticacrylor, which is used to treat blood clotting, in the form of a rapidly soluble complex, and the prepared drug was tested in the laboratory.
The research included the preparation of (6) samples of the drug using betacyclodextrin polymer using different methods, and they were examined using a drug release test device from the prepared samples to choose the best sample to indicate its effectiveness.
The research concluded that the preparation of ticacrylor in complex form with betacyclodextrin significantly increases its solubility and drug release rate, which reaches 100%, and increases the effectiveness of ticacrylor used to treat blood clotting by increasing its solubility and bioavailability.
