Eloquent Arabic poetic verses recited by Mustafa Dhaher, a student at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Basra, in the Eloquent Arabic Poetry Competition, and he won first place among the colleges participating in the competition.
A ship has landed safely
Torn sail looked sad
And her captain is dead
A crew was dispersed in a grudge
Without confidence and the speed of a coup
Their concomitance and disgraceful deeds
If they disagree, they come to the board with power
One of them is gutted
And one is broken, and you are crying
Her rides are in vain, sterile
The ship was stripped of its mantle
He advocates for her and she has become a word
And it became her concern of everything
To survive unscathed without drowning
And passengers with it between fools
And what is between the rabble and the crime
Until it was said to survive a movie
She came to the sand has become shaginah
As soon as it was on the roof, it was
On the one who forgot the ship's surplus
Everyone may tomorrow in his matter why
He lends credit for a response like a beast
Nor have they attempted to repair a roof
And no cover for disgraceful actions
So it has become commonplace
and spread wise stories
So in every treachery from near
We tell him a painful incident
And our tears on our cheeks running
And his sad pulse beat us
We say that there was sadness in the eye
A ship has anchored in safety
