The College of Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on immunopathology, molecular study and genotype of CagA, VacA, DupA, HopQ and IceA genes among gastric and duodenal patients infected with H. pylori in Basra Governorate - Iraq. During which the researcher, Ahmed Wadi Muhammad, showed the possibility of studying and determining the immune pathogenesis and the molecular pattern of virulence factors genes among gastric and duodenal patients infected with Helicobacter pylori using the PCR method, as well as determining the concentrations of these genes that are used by bacteria in the events of gastric and duodenal ulcers, which may develop into intestinal carcinoid tumors in the serum of the patients included in the study.
