The University of Basrah and the Iraqi Association for Statistical Sciences, in cooperation with Al-Rafidain University College, the Association of Iraqi Private Banks and the United Nations Population Fund, organized the seventeenth and fourth international scientific conference for statistical applications under the slogan (Statistical modeling is a pillar for analyzing environmental changes in Iraq) in the presence of the Governor of Basra, Eng. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, with the wide participation of researchers and specialists.
The conference included a presentation of the research presented, which illustrates the important role of the agency in providing statistical data and indicators on the environmental reality in Iraq and monitoring climate changes to benefit from them in drawing up policies aimed at addressing the negative effects resulting from environmental change and the challenges facing the country.
