The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the use of plant extracts as coagulants in the treatment of contaminated water.
The seminar, which was lectured by the master's student Ayat Khaled Salem, aims to investigate the thirteen local plants to be green coagulants.
The seminar dealt with conducting a study to develop alternative methods that are better for human health and environmentally beneficial, such as the use of natural coagulants, which are prepared from the leaves of green local plants, which may be an excellent alternative to the chemical coagulants used now, which cause many diseases in humans, including Alzheimer’s disease.
