A doctoral thesis at the college of Medicine, University of Basrah, discussed Vitamin D and Carboxy-terminal Cross-linking Telopeptide of Type-1 Collagen in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Their Relation with Hyperandrogenism.The research presented by student Aya Adel Badri aims to verify the relationship between the bone resorption mark (the final peptide of the carboxylic end of type 1 collagen) and polycystic ovary syndrome and to investigate the relationship between vitamin D and polycystic ovary syndrome. In addition to verifying the relationship of vitamin D and the final peptide of the carboxylic end of type 1 collagen with testosterone in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. This study found that low vitamin D level is common in women with PCOS syndrome, and there is an increase in bone resorption factor, which is the final peptide of the carboxylic end of type I collagen in women with PCOS syndrome than uninfected women.
