A seminar entitled Preparation and Characteristics of Carbon Nanotube and its Application as a sensing materials hold at the College of Science, Department of Physics.
The presenter Shaymaa Abd A-Kareem demonstrates the most important objectives of study it is the preparation of (MWCNTs) multi-walled carbon nanotubes by hydrothermal method. It follows that prepared MWCNTs undergo purification and functionalization (or treatment) processes. Besides MWCNTs, the CQDs are synthesised by the hydrothermal method. In addition to these two materials, MWCNTs/CQDs composite materials are prepared using the physical mixing method too and its application as a gas sensor.
