Where this study dealt with patients with sickle cell anemia and the effect of this disease on lung functions, and this disease is characterized by acute nutritional deficiency as well as a deficiency in vitamin D
This study aims to reveal whether vitamin D supplementation helps in improving the function of the respiratory system, as well as to detect the effect of the disease on lung functions in patients with sickle cell anemia and to compare it with healthy people.
The study concluded that there are significant differences in lung function tests when comparing all groups, and the study proved that giving vitamin D to patients with sickle cell anemia improved the lung function of patients.
