The department of surgery in the College of Medicine / University of Basrah held a scientific workshop under the auspices of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of Mr. Dean The College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, and within the activities of the continuous Medical Education Unit, a scientific workshop entitled: An introductory workshop on the course of teaching methods according to the updated curriculum presented by Dr. Rafid Abdul Jabbar Mohammed, in the presence of the Dean, assistant of the Dean and the teaching staff , The curriculum of teaching methods, which was updated by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in accordance with international standards, which will contribute to maintaining the quality of the educational process, was discussed. The opinions and proposals of the Dean and the teaching gentlemen were heard.The The updated curriculum consists of eight training modules, which are:

3- Measurement and feedback
4- Developing digital content and supporting applied work
5- Teaching methods and facilitation strategies
6- Ethics of the profession
7- Quality of education
8- Research methodology.
