The College of Education for Human Sciences - Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance, in cooperation with the Directorate of Education of Basra Governorate - Division of Educational Counseling, organized a training course for educational counselors on (behavioral problems and mechanisms to deal with them)
For the period (19-20/3/2023) as part of the department's plan to train its outputs from the educational counselors during the service, and a group of the department's professors gave lectures. On the first day, (Professor Dr. Tahani Anwar Ismail) gave a lecture entitled (Behavioral Problems .. Theoretical frameworks explaining them and the reasons for their prevalence), followed by (Dr. Ikthar Khalil Ibrahim), who gave a lecture on (immoral deviations .. prevention and treatment), and on the second day of the session, (Prof. Dr. Hamed Qassem Rishan) presented a lecture entitled (Hyperactivity ...causes and counseling treatments), then (Prof. Maeda Mardan) gave a lecture on (addiction..causes, and mechanisms of psychological treatment).
The course concluded with recommendations that emphasized the need for cooperation between the College of Education for Human Sciences and the Directorate of Education of Basra in order to raise the level of preparing educational counselors, develop their counseling skills, and provide them with the latest information and counseling programs that help them to carry out their counseling tasks to the fullest.
