The Director of the Center for Marine Sciences, Dr. Abdel-Zahra Rasool Al-Helou, stated that today we received the executive crew of the ship (Logos Hope), which is the largest floating book fair in the world. They toured the presidential yacht Naseem Al-Basrah affiliated with our university, which is a scientific center for conducting research related to the riverine and marine water environment, and they saw what the yacht contains of furnished rooms, a presidential suite, three meeting rooms, and a private helipad. The yacht is 83 meters long, 13 meters wide, and is equipped with engines capable of running it at a speed of 18 knots per hour.
The project manager of the (Logos Hope) ship, Roni Labin, expressed the crew's pleasure in visiting Naseem Al-Basrah yacht to see what it contains of scientific laboratories, analysis equipment and electronic microscopes used in the research field of the University of Basrah, as well as to see the contents of the ship, which dates back to a distant historical era and still in good condition.
He added that our visit to the governorate of Basra gave us a different perception from what we used to hear about Iraq, and I am sure that many people around the world would like to experience what we did.
