Basra and Arab Gulf Studies Center at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the determinants of foreign investment in Iraq (evidence and figures)
The seminar in which Assistant Professor Dr. Basima Kazzar Hassan) revealed, aims to reveal the most important determinants affecting the influx of foreign investment into Iraq. And knowing the extent of the impact of these determinants on the flow of foreign direct investment to submit proposals can help the decision-maker in drawing up a map of policies aimed at attracting foreign direct investment.
The seminar dealt with the most important determinants that affected investment, including political, security and economic determinants, as well as legal and legislative determinants.
The session discussed that the establishment of an appropriate investment environment requires the stability of the political system and the deepening of democratic governance and transparency.
