The Women Empowerment Unit at the University of Basrah launched its first awareness lectures as part of its campaign program to combat the spread of viral hepatitis, which was delivered by Dr. Salman Sahib Atshan, a lecturer at the College of Dentistry, who specializes in the field of medical biosciences, on the halls of the Department of Economics, College of Administration and Economics.
The official of the unit, instructor Wafaa Hasaj Al-Mayahi, stated that the launch of the campaign came in the belief in the necessity of building a healthy society, and that the launch of the campaign on its first day came in cooperation with the College of Administration and Economics. The campaign will continue in the rest of the university's colleges, which aims to introduce the disease and limit its spread among students and staff, which is reflected in community health in general.
