The Retirement Division at the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on simplifying procedures for those referred to retirement in the presence of specialists from the National Retirement Authority and university formations as well as the governorate departments.
The workshop aimed to prepare the staff responsible for organizing retirement transactions and train them to complete the procedures according to a specific time limit.
The workshop included preparing the cadres responsible for completing the retirement procedures and urging them to organize all the requirements in order to prevent delays and to secure the payment of the retirement salary on the specified dates, as well as completing the procedures related to adding service, including military and contract service, as well as expediting the entry of information and data to issue the retirement identity a month before the date of disengagement in implementation of the path of organizational structure adopted by the government and in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The University of Basrah will form a team of employees of the Retirement Division to follow up the procedures in the colleges and to identify the obstacles and problems facing them.
