College of Pharmacy Hosts Collective Iftar Banquet for Dormitory Students
As part of its ongoing humanitarian initiatives to serve the community, and on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan and the birth of Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba (PBUH), the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah hosted a Collective Iftar Banquet for dormitory students, with active participation from the college's faculty and staff.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Falah Hassan Shari, stated: "We have distributed approximately (230) full Iftar meals to our dear students in the dormitories. This initiative, supported by faculty contributions and volunteer staff efforts, demonstrates our appreciation for our students who have come from various provinces and are, first and foremost, our guests."
Prof. Shari added that the college has consistently intensified its community service activities. This initiative follows a series of previous charitable works, including fundraising and distributing food baskets to underprivileged families in Basrah, reinforcing social solidarity and the university's leading role in its environment.
