A master's thesis in the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah, discussed the effect of adding probiotics on the productive and physiological performance of Japanese quail.
The thesis of the researcher Nour Ali Sayyah included a follow-up of the change in the productive and physiological performance of the quail when the diet was supplemented with the probiotic.
The study aimed to supplement the quail diet with different types of probiotics to enhance the productive performance and characteristics of eggs compared to other species to obtain better production.
The thesis concluded that the addition of the probiotic mixture in the quail diet gives the best results in the studied traits compared to the individual probiotic mixture, as well as giving the probiotic mixture from the age of one day to 70 days for quail breeding led to an improvement in productive performance.
