The College of Dentistry University of Basrah provided Its community services within the project of the College of Service Dentistry for the year 2022/2023.
The committee supervising the work team consisting of specialized dentists and a number of fifth-stage students, in coordination with the Basra Health Department, announced the provision of health, moral and material support to Al-Jahiz Elementary School for Boys in the Al-Baradiyah district in Basra Province.
Dr. Sarah Adel said that the team, through its field visit, provided a comprehensive examination of the mouth and teeth for approximately 70 students from different classes, diagnosed the medical conditions that the students suffer from, and scheduled appointments for them in order to receive treatment in the educational clinics of the college. In addition to "spreading health awareness by giving awareness lectures and health instructions on how to take care of oral and dental health, as well as communicating with students' families to urge and encourage them to follow up on oral and dental health care for their children and review educational clinics.
The team was equipped with all the supplies for health protection and sterilization to maintain the health of the team and the health of the patients, In addition to the requirements for oral and dental examination.
