A medical team from the College of Dentistry University of Basrah provided primary health care of oral and dental diseases for 140 individuals within the project of the College of Dentistry Service for the year 2022/2023.
The team, consisting of a number of fifth-grade students, under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Adel, Dr. Sarah Wadeaa, Dr. Zainab Abdel-Karim and Dr. Farah Abdel-Razzaq, and in cooperation with the Basra Health Department, embarked on a field visit to the New Dawn International School in Basra Governorate to examine students and diagnose them in terms oral and dental diseases.
The team spotted some health cases that need follow-up and receiving health care. Appointments were organized for them to visit the educational clinics of the college for the purpose of receiving appropriate treatment after being diagnosed.
It is noteworthy that the College of Dentistry this year visited several schools in the province and is still continuing visits, providing health care to school students and diagnosing diseases related to the mouth and teeth.
