The Cultural Center at the University of Basrah celebrated, through a dialogue session, the journalist Abdul Amir Al-Dirawi, in the presence of members of the Journalists Syndicate - Basra branch, artists and writers.
The session included the signing of a book by Al-Dirawi entitled (Dialogues in Culture, Arts and Literature) and a talk about his journalistic career, recalling the history of journalism in the city, stopping at stations of memories and people who worked in the field of journalism and media.
For his part, Al-Dirawi said, "My latest book provides us with all kinds of science and knowledge because it contains information that excites us and even informs us of the ideas of this elites. The reader finds that the language of the dialogue in it differs from the traditional dialogues. Rather, it is a process of eliciting ideas from the storage of its owners who had a long experience in its fields”.
The session witnessed a series of interventions, discussions and dialogues that enriched the audience with information and useful facts, then the University of Basrah honored Al-Dirawi with the Shield of Creativity for his inexhaustible giving and support for the Iraqi press.
