A LECTURER AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH PARTICIPATES IN AN INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR
The lecturer in the Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah Prof. Dr. Adnan Farhan Al-Jourani, participated in the virtual international seminar organized by the German Studies Center (GIGA) in partnership with the universities of Hamburg, George Washington and Brown University as part of a series of lectures on Iraq (20 years after the American invasion), which was held On Tuesday 25/4/2023.
The participation included delivering a research paper entitled "Analysis of Sustainable Development Policies and Natural Resources Management in Iraq for the period (1990-2020).
The participation aimed to show the policies of sustainable development and natural resource management that Iraq followed before and after the US invasion and what are the results achieved. The paper concluded that Iraq has made progress in the field of sustainable development indicators after 2003 but its still below ambition and has not reached what the oil countries neighboring Iraq have achieved.
