Under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit in the college.Our college organized a workshop on food poisoning Listeria bacteria, which was presented by Dr. Wathiq Pharaoh Hussein, where the symposium or workshop dealt with the most important risks resulting from infection with this bacteria and how to prevent it in addition to the necessary treatments for it.The workshop aimed to shed light on the issue of food contamination if a detailed explanation was provided about food poisoning and the types of toxins, whether biological contamination such as (bacteria, fungi, viruses, parasites)Hussein added the symptoms of eating contaminated food, as well as explaining the symptoms resulting from food poisoning, foods that should be wary of, food awareness, and ways to avoid food poisoning.The lecturer recommended the necessity of consolidating the bonds of cooperation between universities, schools and educational bodies to spread the necessary awareness for different generations, thus creating a conscious generation that can avoid any risks in the future.
