Announcing the College of Nursing
Alaa Al-Husseini / Konooz AliUnder the auspices of Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at Basra University, our college, and under the supervision of the Continuing Education Unit, the Fundamentals of Nursing Branch organized a workshop on documenting sources using the APA version 7 system, in which Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Salman Khudair and Assistant Professor Saja Karim Jassim lectured. The workshop included APA is an acronym for American Psychological Association Documentation System. The history of this system dates back to 1929, when a group of psychologists, anthropologists, and business executives decided to search for a set of simple procedures or rules that would define and explain the various elements of scholarly writing. And it facilitates the process of reading and understanding. For her part, the assistant teacher, Saja Karim Jassim, indicated that the main objectives of the workshop are to insist on the importance of documentation because of its great importance, in order to achieve scientific integrity. Acknowledgment of previous efforts, increased confidence in practical work, and knowledge of the newness of information.
