The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on harassment and its negative effects on society, under the title (No to Harassment).
The workshop included two lectures during which the researcher, Afkar Fadel Karim and Dr. Fatima Jassim, presented the effects of harassment as one of the widespread societal problems.
The concept of harassment and the different images of types of harassment were presented, including verbal, physical and sexual harassment. There is also electronic harassment through social media.
The workshop showed the effects of harassment from the psychological, social and religious aspects, and the advice presented by parents to raise awareness of how to prevent harassment, as well as the penalties to which the harasser is subjected.
