Our college organized an educational workshop on Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology, electrophoresis of DNA and the amplified gene. The lecture was attended by the teacher, Dr. Abdul Muttalib Abdullah Muhammad, and Assistant Professor Kholoud Abdul Karim. And its applications in various scientific and medical fields and its practical benefits, as well as introducing the devices, tools and materials attached to the work, clarifying the mechanism and interaction steps in amplifying the target genes from the DNA in the thermocycler, and how to detect the amplified gene after that with the electrophoresis device The second axis dealt with the practical part of the workshop, which included training the participants on the practical application of the technology in the microbiology laboratory to introduce them to how the devices work and how to deal with the materials used in the experiment according to the approved work protocol.
