A master's thesis at the faculty of science at the University of Basrah (The usage of some plant extracts in controlling the green-metal fly Lucilia sericata (Diptera : Calliphoridae)), and showed the researcher's thesis (Zahraa Galibe Abd Algahni). Thesis aims to identifying the green fly, Lucilia sericata, its harms and benefits, and using some plant extracts to control it, and concluded :Increasing the concentration of plant extracts increases the death rates of the different roles of the insect and its effectiveness with the age of the larvae and recommended: Conducting subsequent experiments to separate the secondary compounds of plants and knowing their effective chemical composition, and conducting other studies to search for plant extracts with an effective effect against the studied insect.
