The University of Basrah has been selected as one of the best universities in the world according to the World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI) classification. It ranked among the top 100 global universities in the 2023 South Korean WURI ranking, also known under the Innovative Universities Program.

Following this achievement, the University President, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, was invited to electronically present the university’s accomplishments on the 16th of this month during the conference to be held in Florida, USA, where the top-performing universities will be officially announced.

It is noteworthy that only 17 universities worldwide were invited to the conference across 6 thematic aspects. Impressively, the University of Basrah was one of only three global universities to win in the Crisis Management category.
