The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the pros and cons of using a laser devices.
The aim of the workshop is to give a general idea of the concept of the laser device and its various uses, with their pros and cons.
The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Furat Ahmed Mahdi, included giving a general idea about the installation of lasers, how they work, the electromagnetic spectrum in which lasers operate, and their uses in industry, measurement, the environment, space and medicine, with their positives and negatives.
The workshop also included giving a general idea of the interaction of light with tissues and their effects.
In the end, the recommendation was that the use of lasers should be by trained people to avoid the negatives that may accompany the use of these devices.
