The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a PhD thesis in accounting on (Designing an expert system to evaluate and qualify the financial efficiency of companies executing government contracts - an applied study in the Department of Government Contracts in Basra Governorate).
The researcher Jassim Duaij Daer’s thesis aims to design an expert system capable of evaluating the financial efficiency of companies executing government contracts, using modern tools for financial analysis, as well as generalizing companies through other possibilities.
The thesis concluded that the current proposed system can be used in evaluating companies and awarding bids, which will contribute to reducing project failure and thus preserving public money from waste.
