The University of Basrah announced that it is the first at the level of Iraqi universities to implement the electronic payment system and for all transactions, starting from next June.
The President of the University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, stated that a committee was formed, consisting of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, and the directors of the financial, legal, contracts, projects and construction departments in Basrah University.
It is worth mentioning that all students and staffs will be equipped with prepaid cards, and all financial transactions will be carried out electronically, in implementation of the Prime Minister's directive on electronic governance.
