A master thesis entitled (Iranian nuclear program (1967-2010) and internal attitudes towards it) was discussed in the Department of History at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah.
The thesis presented by researcher Sanaa Taher Hawaz included three chapters. The first chapter discussed the Iranian nuclear program (1967-2010),the second chapter discussed (the infrastructure of the Iranian nuclear program (1967-2010)) and the third chapter dealt with (the political system and internal attitudes towards the Iranian nuclear program (1967-2010)).
The thesis aims to identify the internal positions on the Iranian nuclear program, whether they are in support or opposition, and how the Iranian leaders portray the nuclear issue to the people as a national issue, the efforts of the Iranian political elites to develop the program, the positions opposing the program, and the position of the Iranian government regarding the positions opposing the nuclear program.
The thesis concluded that the Iranian nuclear program formed a pivotal part of the Shah vision to enhance Iran military capabilities and enable it to play a major role in the Middle East region strong nuclear, the program also captured the attention of successive Iranian governments after the Islamic Revolution and the fall of the Shah, and Iran establishment of a strong nuclear infrastructure.
