A master thesis entitled (Digital media and its role in advancing the Basri academic community: an exploratory study) was discussed in the Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah.
The thesis presented by the student Maryam Hashim Taha included four chapters. The first chapter discussed the general framework of the study, which dealt with the problem, objectives, importance, study methodology, statistical treatment, and previous studies ,the second chapter dealt with two topics (the first topic dealt with digital media, while the second topic dealt with society and digital media), the third chapter included (The first topic dealt with academic institutions, the study community, and the second topic analyzed the results of the questionnaire for the study sample on digital media), and the fourth chapter included the results, recommendations, and future studies.
The thesis aimed to identify the attitudes of the Basri academic community towards the use of digital media in the advancement of society, as it has an impact on that.
