A master thesis entitled (narrative representation in the novels of Samira Al-Manea) was discussed in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah.
The thesis presented by the student Zainab Manaf Daoud included three chapters.The first chapter discussed memory and its role in defining the paths of identity ,the second chapter discussed time and place and the representation of the other, and the third chapter dealt with voice and the representation of power.
The thesis aims at the importance of representing reality through its cultural references, as Samira Al-Manea novels questioned the cultural contexts by listing historical, social, and political events.
