The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, inaugurated the Artistic and University Productions Unit of the College of Fine Arts, in the presence of members of the University Council.
In his opening speech, the university president stressed that the marketing of artistic works is of great importance in expressing art, culture and heritage, and encouraging the community to pay attention to these works, as well as the possibility of international marketing of plastic products and handicrafts.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, said that marketing artistic productions is vital for developing the production of talented people and improving their financial income, as this unit will provide job opportunities for students and graduates, in addition to its cultural and artistic importance in revitalizing the artistic movement in the city, praising the role of the university president in supporting and allocating an appropriate place. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the realization of this vital project, including students and staffs”.
