The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized a course on financial accounting.
The objective of the interactive training course is to meet the needs of several trainees who require sufficient knowledge of financial and accounting aspects in order to effectively participate in the financial management process.
The course, presented by the instructor Hossam Ahmed Ali, included an introduction to the concept of accounting and its objectives, the basic functions of accounting, the documents and ledgers used in accounting, and the double-entry method. It also covered types of accounts and the accounting cycle.
In conclusion, the recommendation was made due to the fact that many companies overlook the meaning and concept of the accounting cycle and are unaware of it, resulting in significant accounting errors. We will discuss the accounting cycle in general, its tasks, and the importance of financial accounting in general for individuals and companies alike
