In a gesture that is the first of its kind, the Retirement Division of the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the National Retirement Authority, began distributing ID cards of retired employees of the university after completing their transactions in a record time.
The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, stated that, “we have begun to implement the recommendations of the Prime Minister and the confirmation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which include the implementation of a group of measures to support the retirees, and our administrative cadres have begun to complete the transactions of our retired employees, and today we delivered (14) retirement ID cards to their owners a few days after they retired without bothering them to visit the division”.
The Director of the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the University of Basrah, Dr. Osama Nazim Jaafar, indicated that the Retirement Division of the department has completed the retirement transactions, including the addition of military service or contract service, and the allocation of salaries and the issuance of ID cards within a period of time not exceeding one week.
