The College of Medicine at the University of Basrah received the consultant in Nuclear Medicine at Auckland Hospital, New Zealand, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad Hassan, a graduate of the University of Mosul in 1970.
He was received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mortada Muhammad Salih Al-Musafir, and the two parties discussed the course of the educational process and the joint cooperation between the visiting professor and the college by delivering a number of Scientific lectures.
The curriculum of the lectures includes giving two lectures on Wednesday and Thursday at the College of Medicine and two lectures at Basra Teaching Hospital. The visiting professor toured the college and was briefed on the classrooms as well as the sports halls under construction. He also met with the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, in the College of Dentistry.
The visiting professor also inspected the university hospital project and was briefed on the progress of work, the achievement rates, and the time periods for implementation.
