A master's thesis in the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah, examined the description of the polymeric primary structures of drugs (synthetic and characterization of polymeric prodrug).
The thesis presented by the student, Mohsen Ali Hizam, included the preparation of three new polymers, their identification by chemical and physical methods, the study of their thermal stability by differential scanning calorimetry and thermal gravimetric analysis, and linking them with Fusidic Acid for the purpose of preparing esters.
The results revealed that these polymers have anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial activity, stability and very high purity.
