The College of Pharmacy at University of Basrah held a seminar on (Preparing, diagnosing and evaluating the biological effectiveness of some 3,4-1 compounds of new oxadiazoline) with the participation of researchers and specialists. The panel discussion included a lecture given by researcher Khaldoun Shaker Abdel Salam, describing the process of preparing new oxadiazoline compounds from terephthalic acid. The study also evaluated the antibacterial, antifungal and anti-cancer efficacy, and all the studied compounds showed excellent efficacy against bacteria compared to standard pharmaceutical compounds using Gram-positive clinical isolates (Staphylococcus aureus) and Gram-negative clinical isolates (Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa). The prepared compounds also showed good efficacy against fungi compared to standard pharmaceutical compounds using clinical isolates (Aspergillus flavus) and (Candida albicans). Therefore, these modern compounds are considered important molecules for research and development of antimicrobial drugs. The examination of anti-cancer activity revealed that one of the compounds possesses good inhibition activity on line. 7-MCF cells for breast cancer compared to other formulated compounds
