A new Iraqi global vector medium was prepared under the name BASRAYATHA VTM, which is used to store samples taken from patients infected with Covid-19 and other viruses for the purpose of transferring and diagnosing them using internationally approved molecular methods. The medium can be used for preserving and transmitting viruses with nucleic acid RNA and DNA. The medium contains, in its composition, nutritious broth and bovine albumin serum, in addition to containing a group of salts with special concentrations commensurate with the need of the Corona virus and the infected cell for life.
