The College of Dentistry at the University of Basra witnessed a wide reconstruction campaign based on the directives of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, which included the infrastructure, college entrances, classrooms, bathrooms, laboratories, examination clinics, and treatment clinics.
Dr. Salman Abd al-Sahib Atshan, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs and supervisor of the reconstruction campaign, said that the campaign included repainting classrooms and laboratories, repairing cooling and lighting equipment, in addition to planting the college's gardens with evergreen trees and other works that were included in the reconstruction plan drawn up by the college.
He added that the restoration work will be completed within one month of the summer vacation, and the building will be ready to receive new students for the next academic year 2023/2024 in its new look.
It is noteworthy that the technical division in the college participated in this campaign and had a major role in completing the complementary works, including the establishment of electrical appliances, maintenance of female students' bathroom sewers, and repair of refrigerators and lighting devices for classrooms.
