The Women's Empowerment Division at the University of Basrah, with the support and sponsorship of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the supervision of Mrs. Wafaa Al-Mayahi, organized a solidarity stand to advocate the Holy Quran, in cooperation with the Follow-up Department and the Leadership Team for Development.
The stand, which took place under the domes of the university at the site of Garmat Ali, included raising the participants to the Holy Qur’an and the Iraqi flag in honor, as well as raising Quranic verses and phrases of peace that the Qur’an and Islam brought in both English and Swedish.
The stand was attended by a number of deans, their assistants, professors, and university employees, expressing their support for their religion and the Quran, condemning the repeated attacks on the Qur’an, calling for opposing this disgraceful act by those who want to spread hatred among the peoples of the world.
