The College of Education for Human Sciences - University of Basra held a training workshop on job etiquette and the ethics of the teaching profession for new faculty members.
The workshop aimed to enrich and develop the experiences of the participants, refine their skills in etiquette and functional protocol, enhance the ethics of job dealings within the university institution, develop public relations skills, positive body language, and distinguished service within work environments. For the participant to act efficiently and effectively to enable him to succeed in positive interaction with his job, colleagues, superiors, and subordinates, and to provide him with the skills to achieve high productivity.
The special objective of the training program is to learn about the ethics and importance of the teaching profession; To upgrade the educational institution through:
Recognizing the meaning of morals in a person, and its implications for adherence to the standards and guidelines set by the institution, and then upgrading the educational institution.

The theoretical side and the practical side. The theoretical side was about the meaning of morals, how to employ the general ethics of each person in his profession, and the signs indicating that a person possesses professional ethics or not. As for the practical side, it was about a number of real activities and situations, and how to act when they occur during Practicing the teaching profession.
The workshop recommended to all new teachers the necessity of adhering to the ethics of the teaching profession. It is a sacred profession, and whoever performs it must abide by its standards, with an emphasis on guiding students, guiding them, teaching them, and protecting them from the evil of themselves.
